The best ingredients wrapped Granny's recipe pastry makes the best pies.
Alex, our founder, was taught how to make pastry at an early age by his grandmother. He uses her recipe and skills to create a traditional short-crust pastry for our pies.
Eat Square make all our pastry in house and source all our ingredients locally from farms and farm shops in Wiltshire.
Our pies come pre-baked and ready to eat cold or reheat and serve hot. The pastry is best served hot as it will crisp up and become slightly flaky. Its this thin, rich shortcrust pastry that really makes Eat Square pies stand out.
Eat Square Traditional Pies for Wholesale
Our rich traditional short crust pastry is what makes our pies stand out from others. Granny's recipe is traditionally made and very rich. At Eat Square we use the best local meats from rare breed and pedigree pigs and cattle. They are all free range and butchered at Church Farm in Broughton Gifford, just 3 miles down the lane from our bakery. Our care and attention to ingredients go to the vegetables we use as well, which are again locally sourced. Once we have our fillings prepared they go inside our own rich short-crust pastry. This is made by us in small batches to achieve the best possible consistency and flake. For cooking / reheating instructions click here.
